AFTER ACTION REPORT – HALIZSTAN CONFLICT 2025
Observer: Chefman
Date: May 17, 2025
Location: The Compound
Operation: [CLASSIFIED]
Weather Impact Status: Severe Disruption
Summary:
The day began with optimism. Spirits were high, the weather was perfect, and the AO was alive with anticipation. Players trickled in early, chatting, laughing, and preparing for what was to be a battle-filled weekend. At 1:30 PM, both factions — White Strategic Solutions (WSS) and Beige PMC — began making their way to their Command Points (CPs). The skies, however, had a different plan.
Timeline of Events:
1:40 PM: A sudden weather advisory warned of incoming hail, potentially Toonie-sized. This information was rapidly shared with NPCs, game staff, and both PMC commanders.
1:45 PM: A light drizzle coated the field.
1:48 PM: Rain intensified, the wind whipped across the terrain, and the temperature noticeably dropped.
1:50 PM: Chaos. Rain poured in sheets, hail pelted players and vehicles — albeit only BB-sized — and trees bent under the strain of the wind.
1:55 PM: Game Control made the critical call to delay Startex. Players hunkered down as the weather escalated.
2:00 PM: Rumors swirled of a tornado touchdown approximately 6km from the AO. No confirmation was available at the time, and most remained unaware of how close disaster had come.
2:05 PM: Startex was officially postponed to 3:00 PM for safety assessment.
Weather Break and Game On:
By 3:00 PM, conditions had marginally improved. Rain became manageable and wind subsided. Recon units were sent to check the parking area and gear status. A new Startex was declared for 3:30 PM.
3:30 PM – Startex:
Combat erupted immediately. WSS moved swiftly, calling in their first two contracts. Meanwhile, Beige PMC advanced on the town, securing the DMV and acquiring their driver permits. They successfully deployed their technical, locking down the town for a significant period.
WSS made their push later and, after contesting the area, also acquired their vehicle certifications. They executed contracts with precision, surging into an early financial lead.
Beige PMC countered with technological prowess, utilizing drones to deadly effect. A chalk round drone strike successfully disabled WSS’s vehicle — marking the first confirmed drone vehicle kill in Ontario Airsoft history. Despite the achievement, WSS remained focused and continued to complete objectives efficiently.
Ongoing Engagements:
The field saw no clear dominator. Battles raged across every quadrant, with zones being hotly contested. The rain held off for a brief window, allowing players a momentary reprieve to dry off — if only slightly.
As dusk gave way to night, rain returned, but mercifully without wind. The AO shifted into close-quarters combat, especially in the town, which became a hotbed for flashlight flicks, NVG standoffs, and room-clearing chaos.
12:00 AM – ENDEX Declared:
With hypothermia symptoms emerging and physical fatigue mounting across both teams, Game Control made the call: ENDEX at midnight.
Final Outcome:
White Shadow Strategies (WSS): $1,055,000 earned
Beige PMC: $455,000 earned
Halizstan Civil Infrastructure: Critically underfunded — looming humanitarian crisis likely.
Closing Thoughts:
This event will be remembered not just for its fierce firefights, but for the sheer resilience displayed by all participants. The weather tried to shut it down, but players dug in, adapted, and gave it their all. Both factions showed strength, but in the end, WSS dominated the contract war. The fate of Halizstan, however, hangs in the balance.
